This is an illustrative interpretation of Daniil Kharms’ poetry. The poetry and illustration encapsulate themes of censorship and the limitation of self-expression. The children’s book style reflects Kharms’ background in writing children's stories and serves as a juxtaposition to the context. The color scheme and flat colors are inspired by the Russian avant-garde style that emerged in between the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union.
